As Shirley continued, she felt upset all of a sudden. “I’m scared of being here. And without Veronica here, I can only depend on you. What do you think I should do?”
When Skyler heard what she said, he felt terrible for her but was happy at the same time. So, he reached out his hand to caress her face. “If you have feelings for me, just admit it. Why consider so much? So what if I’m from the Robins Family? I’ve never used my family’s money since graduating high school. So, no one has the right to tell me what to do. As for Sofia, I’ve told you many times that I won’t marry her. At this point, we are history.”
However, she still shook her head. “You’re born into a wealthy family, so there are many things that you don’t know. The compatibility of social class between a couple was, and is still, very important.” She softly bit her red lip and hesitated for a second. “Skyler, we’re even after tonight. I hope that you can forget everything about today too. I’ll find Veronica tomorrow and ask her to bring me out of here.”

Even though their love for each other was already in the air, Skyler didn’t expect to confess to her in this way. Shirley’s rationality asked her to reject him, but his condition of ‘trying to be together’ was just too tempting to her.
“Haha!” He laughed loudly and raised his hand to softly flick her forehead. “I want a woman I love, not a business partner. I like everything about you, and I will allow you to be a coward because I’ll always have your back.”
